Our Team

As a mom of three kids (4 if you count my husband!) and partner in an interracial marriage, I have had my fair share of struggles on the therapist's couch.  I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.

When not working I enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen with my children, curling up with a good book, enjoying quality time with friends, and participating in social events, you might even see me at the local farmers market!

I have personal experience with exploring the needs of couples who have been impacted by cross cultural challenges and racism. Through my therapeutic approach, I am able to  give back to others and share my passion for diversity and inclusion.

Having the opportunity to genuinely help others is invigorating, and motivates me to continually learn and adapt to everchanging social and personal changes. The  most rewarding thing about being a Therapist is seeing clients walk away from our sessions feeling lighter, freer, and enthusiastic about their future.

We will begin from where you’re at, no matter where that is, and work towards where you want to go. I will be your partner and come alongside you on your path to healing. When doing couples therapy I model a secure connection to create a safe haven for you and your partner.

I am an open, warm, caring, calm and compassionate therapist who has nearly a decade of experience helping people through psychotherapy.
I am a believer of the power of psychotherapy as I have experienced it for myself and also with my partner having gone through couples therapy.

That being said, I am passionate about supporting couples having difficulties in their relationship stemming from various aspects such as differing communication styles or love languages, infidelity, fertility, parenting, cross-cultural differences and/or delving into Ethical Non-Monogamy to name a few. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples which has been scientifically proven to be effective in this work.

I have also had extensive experience in helping individuals deal with Trauma, whether it is acute, complex or anywhere in between. I have also had experience in working with clients who have struggled with substance use. I work with individuals (14+) facing different life challenges such as emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, maladaptive ways of coping, numbing, disassociation, existential crises to name a few.

I provide a safe container in our therapy session which creates an environment conducive to self-reflection, awareness, healing and growth.

On a more personal note, I immigrated to Canada from the Philippines in my teen years and currently I am in a common-law, interracial relationship.
We have a beautiful toddler and she is a blessing. In my down time, I like to do yoga and paddle board!
